Product Information
- 1-(4-Nitrophenyl)pyrrole
1-(4-Nitrophenyl)-1H-pyrrole is a nitro compound that is activated with solvents to form monomers. These molecules can be used in a variety of chemical reactions, such as polymerization and cross-linking, to form polymers. The nitro groups are often introduced into the molecule as an electrophile, while the pyrrole group is typically introduced as a nucleophile. Nitro compounds also have thermodynamic properties that make them useful for gas chromatography. Thiourea reacts with 1-(4-nitrophenyl)-1H-pyrrole in an acid solution to form 1-(4-amino phenyl)-1H-pyrrole, which can then be reacted with carbodiimides to form an amide linkage between two molecules. This process can be used for structural analysis of polymers or for synthesis of new polymers.
