Product Information

Name:
Necrostatin-7
Description:

Necrostatin-7 is a natural compound that has been shown to induce apoptosis in cells by activating the glut1/Nrf2 pathway and inhibiting autophagy. Necrostatin-7 also has anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit colony-stimulating factor (CSF) production and activity. Necrostatin-7 has been shown to be active against a wide variety of infectious diseases including HIV, tuberculosis, malaria, and influenza. This compound also inhibits the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and prevents mitochondrial membrane depolarization, thus preventing cell death by necrosis or caspase-independent cell death. Necrostatin-7 was first discovered as an inhibitor of the enzyme pyrazole ring hydroxylase, which plays a role in the synthesis of nitric oxide.
