Description:

6-Nitro-2-oxo-2H-chromene-3-carboxylic acid is a nitro compound that has been shown to have antioxidant potential and to be active against cancer cells. It also has a high hydrophobicity, which makes it difficult to dissolve in water. 6-Nitro-2-oxo-2H-chromene-3-carboxylic acid has an activation energy of 50 kcal/mol, which is relatively high for organic compounds. This chemical is not soluble in water and can be dissolved with tetraethylammonium chloride (TEAC) or lanthanum chloride (LA). 6NOCA also has low solubility at room temperature, but its solubility increases as the temperature increases. The kinetic data for this compound show that it can inhibit the growth of cancer cells.
