Description:

3-Nitrobenzenesulfonohydrazide is a potent inhibitor of α-amylase. It is an equated inhibitor that can be used in a molecular docking study to predict the interaction between α-amylase and 3-nitrobenzenesulfonohydrazide. This inhibitor has been shown to have a strong inhibitory potential against α-amylase and it may be useful for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. 3-Nitrobenzenesulfonohydrazide also has been shown to have inhibitory effects on other enzymes, such as β-glucosidase, which can be used in the treatment of disorders related to carbohydrate metabolism. 3NBSH is also a spectroscopic technique that has been used to study the interactions between this compound and various proteins.
