4-Nitrophenoxyacetyl chloride is a monoclonal antibody that has been shown to have anti-viral activity. It binds to the carbohydrate moiety of the envelope glycoprotein gp120, and inhibits the binding of gp120 to CD4+ T cells. This antibody is used in the treatment of HIV infection, and has shown high specificity for its antigen. The 4-Nitrophenoxyacetyl chloride has also been shown to inhibit viral replication by inhibiting the synthesis of viral RNA.
