Product Information
- 1H-pyrazole
- 3-(2-naphthalenyl)-
3-(2-Naphthyl)-1H-pyrazole is a photophysical anion that interacts with metal cations. 3-(2-Naphthyl)-1H-pyrazole has been synthesised and crystallised in the form of mononuclear salts, which have been studied by x-ray crystallography. This anion has been shown to be ancillary to the benzene ring, but is not essential to its stability or function. 3-(2-Naphthyl)-1H-pyrazole has also been shown to have electrochemical properties, such as a reduction potential of -0.42 V vs SHE at pH 7 and 0% ionic strength. The electron density map of the pyrazole ring suggests that it can exist in two different conformations with regard to the pyrazole plane: one in which the pyrazole plane is perpendicular to the benzene plane, and another in which it is parallel to the benz
