Description:

Nicarbazin is a nitrofuran that is used as a feed additive in animal feeds. It is also used to prevent or treat coccidiosis, an intestinal disease caused by the protozoan parasite Eimeria tenella, in chickens and turkeys. Nicarbazin also has been shown to be safe for animals such as dogs, cats, and horses at dosages up to 100 mg per kg body weight per day for periods of up to six months.
