Description:
7-Nitro-3,4-dihydronaphthalen-1(2H)-one is a methionine aminopeptidase inhibitor. It has been shown to have a constant inhibitory activity against the enzyme for at least 24 hours and exhibits no significant bimodal profile when incubated with mesoporous silica nanoparticles. This compound has also been shown to be an effective inhibitor of fibrillation in human plasma. 7-Nitro-3,4-dihydronaphthalen-1(2H)-one shows potent antiangiogenic effects and may act by blocking the production of nitric oxide, which inhibits angiogenesis.
