Product Information
Naphtho[2,1-b]furan-2-carboxylic acid is a furan derivative that is synthesized from the nitration of benzofuran. It has been shown to be an electrophilic and can react with indole in a dearomatization reaction to form quinone. Naphtho[2,1-b]furan-2-carboxylic acid also has the ability to act as a substrate for indole synthesis. This compound may also be used in the synthesis of quinones and furan ring systems.
