It has been shown to be effective against Mycobacterium tuberculosis in vivo. (S)-2-Nitro-6,7-dihydro-5H-imidazo[2,1-b][1,3]oxazin-6-ol also inhibits the growth of Mycobacterium avium complex. This molecule is an analog of Pa824 and is related to other biaryls such as biphenyls and suzukis.
