Description

1-Nonaneboronic acid is a boronic acid that can be used as a cross-linking agent in the synthesis of polymers. It is synthesized by trimerizing 1-bromononane in the presence of metal cations such as copper, zinc, or nickel. The alkynyl group and hydroxyl group in the molecule are involved in this reaction.
