Description

4-N-Nonylbenzeneboronic acid is a boron-containing compound that has been shown to be an effective reagent for the cross-coupling of organoboronic acids with aryl halides. This reaction is used in organic synthesis for the preparation of pharmaceuticals and other organic compounds. 4-N-Nonylbenzeneboronic acid has been shown to inhibit cancer cells, as well as triglyceride lipase. This agent may be useful in the diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis and other diseases. 4-N-Nonylbenzeneboronic acid can also be used to fabricate nanowires that are capable of emitting light when excited by a laser.
