It has been shown to interact with DNA in vitro, and can also be used to characterize techniques such as supramolecular chemistry and molecular modeling. The molecule is an alkoxycarbonyl tautomer that has been found to have significant uptake in polyfluoroalkyl membranes. 4-Nitrobenzo[d]thiazol-2-amine has been shown to form hydrogen bonds with anilines and protonated amines, which may account for its use in chronic pain management.
