Description:
N-Methylacetoacetamide is a chemical compound that is used as a reagent in the detection of fatty acids. It has also been shown to be effective against inflammatory diseases and autoimmune diseases, as well as anticancer activity. One study showed that N-Methylacetoacetamide induced apoptosis in human cells by inhibiting the expression of genes encoding enzymes involved in fatty acid synthesis. This study also demonstrated that N-Methylacetoacetamide inhibited the growth of bacterial strains such as Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
