Product Information

Name:
Nimodipine-d7
Synonyms:
  • 1,4-Dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-4-(3-nitrophenyl)-3,5-pyridinedicarboxylic Acid 3-(2-Methoxyethyl) 5-(1-Methylethyl-d7) Ester
Description:

Nimodipine-d7 is a lipophilic derivative of nimodipine, which binds to the active site of the bacterial efflux pump. It has been shown to be effective in treating congestive heart failure and hypertension. Nimodipine-d7 has a logistic regression analysis that shows it is effective in suppressing genes that produce proteins responsible for increased blood pressure and inflammation. The drug has been shown to be a potent antihypertensive agent with good pharmacokinetic properties. In addition, nimodipine-d7 has been shown to suppress subarachnoid hemorrhage and is used clinically as an anticonvulsant and prophylactic agent against subarachnoid hemorrhage. Nimodipine-d7 also suppresses the production of suppressor genes that are involved in regulating cellular gene expression, which may be due to its functional activity as an inhibitor of protein synthesis. This drug also inhibits the growth of infectious agents
