Description:
2-[(2-Nitrophenyl)amino]-3-cyanothiophene is a yellow crystalline solid that belongs to the nitrophenyl compounds. The solubility of this compound in water is relatively high, but it can be dissolved in concentrated hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid. It has a melting point of 115°C and decomposes at 210°C. 2-[(2-Nitrophenyl)amino]-3-cyanothiophene has been shown to have a transition temperature of -11°C and an equilibrium constant of 0.84 at 25°C in acetonitrile.
