Description:
N-Nitroso-N,N-di-(7-methyloctyl)amine is a hydrophobic, polar compound that belongs to the chemical species of sulfides. It has been shown that this chemical can cause carcinogenic effects in rats and mice. In addition, N-Nitroso-N,N-di-(7-methyloctyl)amine has been shown to interact with skin care products through its hydrophobic properties. This interaction may lead to the formation of disulfide bonds with skin care molecules. The hydroxy groups on N-Nitroso-N,N-di-(7-methyloctyl)amine are able to form hydrogen bonds with water molecules from skin care products and other sources.
