Description:

N-trityl-l-serine methyl ester is a conjugate that consists of the thionyl group, a xylene molecule, and a polymerized gel. It is synthesized by refluxing tetracycline with nitrophenol and sulfamidate in acetic acid. The anticancer activity of this conjugate has been shown to be potent against cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. When it is administered to mice, it induces apoptosis through an increase in reactive oxygen species (ROS) production. This chemical compound also slows the growth of tumor xenografts that are resistant to doxorubicin or cisplatin treatments.
