Nickel(II) hydroxide is an inorganic compound that is a solid at room temperature. It can be found in the form of particles and has a particle size of 10-50 nanometers. Nickel(II) hydroxide can also exist as a solution with hydrochloric acid, but it has not been determined whether this is thermodynamically stable. The reactivity of Nickel(II) hydroxide was studied using microscopy and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy to reveal the reaction mechanism. It has been shown to have photocatalytic activity and low detection limits for both low-molecular weight organic compounds and multi-walled carbon nanotubes.
