Naphthalene-2-carbothioamide is a benzannulated naphthalene derivative that has been shown to be effective against a wide range of bacteria, including Staphylococcus. It has been shown to inhibit P-glycoprotein activity and to have a cytotoxic effect on tumor cells in vitro. The compound also has an oral bioavailability of about 80%.
