Ne-Dimethyl-L-lysine hydrochloride is a tryptic cleavage product of L-lysine that can be used as a marker for the presence of lysine residues in proteins. Ne-Dimethyl-L-lysine hydrochloride can be used to identify and quantify modified lysines, such as trimethylated lysines, and damaged lysines. Ne-Dimethyl-L-lysine hydrochloride binds to RNA, which makes it a good marker for rRNA synthesis.
