Description:
DL-Norleucine amide is a hydrogenation catalyst that is used in the production of hydrogenated oils, as well as in the manufacture of dyes and pharmaceuticals. This compound can be used to catalyze the hydrogenation of nitrobenzene to aniline, or the reduction of cyanoacetic acid to acetic acid. DL-Norleucine amide is also used for the reduction of lysine derivatives to hydantoins. The end products are reaction products that can be hydrolysed to form amino acids (i.e., L-lysine).
