Description:
7-Nitro-2H-1,4-benzoxazin-3(4H)-one (7NOBA) is an inotropic agent that belongs to the class of arylamines. It is a potent and selective inotropic agent with maximal activity at 1 μM. 7NOBA has been shown to have a number of spectroscopically identifiable metabolites, including nitrates, nitrosamines, and nitrosamides. 7NOBA also has potent chronotropic effects, which may be due to its ability to increase the heart rate by increasing the frequency of cardiac contractions.
