2-Naphthyl phosphate monosodium salt is a crystalline solid with a melting point of about 190 degrees Celsius. It has been shown to have a diffraction pattern similar to that of zirconium, and it is soluble in water or alcohol. 2-Naphthyl phosphate monosodium salt has two moieties, one derived from naphthalene and the other from phosphoric acid. When heated to high temperatures, it undergoes thermal gravimetric analysis due to its high melting point. The spacing between the peaks in the diffraction pattern are proportional to the parameters in the predictive model. 2-Naphthyl phosphate monosodium salt also has functional groups such as phosphonates and resonances that are characteristic of organic compounds.
