Name:
(R)-1-(2-Naphthyl)ethylamine
Synonyms:
  • (R)-2-(1-Aminoethyl)naphthalene

  • (1R)-1-(naphthalen-2-yl)ethanamine
Description:

(R)-1-(2-Naphthyl)ethylamine is an aromatic amine that is synthesized through a template molecule. The functional theory of this reaction is based on the efficient method of allylation and fluorophore labeling. The nmr spectra show the presence of a single product in solution, which was confirmed by its kinetic analysis. This product was found to be sterically hindered and electron deficient, with a supramolecular structure. Reaction products were found to be enolate ions that reacted with the template molecule to produce (R)-1-(2-naphthyl)ethylamine.
