Norbornadiene Rhodium(I) Chloride Dimer is a palladium complex with a helical structure. It absorbs in the ultraviolet region and can be used as a monomer for the synthesis of new materials. Norbornadiene Rhodium(I) Chloride Dimer reacts with chloride to form covalent complexes and has been shown to possess analytical properties that are suitable for use as an indicator dye. This compound also exhibits optical properties that are characteristic of polyenes: it is strongly absorbing in the uv region and is soluble in organic solvents.
