Product Information
- 4-Nitrophenyl TriflateTrifluoromethanesulfonic Acid 4-Nitrophenyl Ester
- Methanesulfonic acid, 1,1,1-trifluoro-, 4-nitrophenyl ester
- 4-Nitrophenyl trifluoromethanesulfonate
4-Nitrophenyl Trifluoromethanesulfonate is an aromatic compound that has been synthesized using a cross-coupling reaction. In this reaction, the chloride ion acts as a nucleophilic species, attacking the electrophilic carbon atom of the aromatic ring. This creates a new bond between the carbon and sulfur atoms and allows for intramolecular hydrogen transfer to occur. FT-IR spectroscopy has shown that 4-nitrophenyl trifluoromethanesulfonate has functional groups such as carbonyl groups and halides. Receptor binding assays have also shown that 4-nitrophenyl trifluoromethanesulfonate binds to receptor subtypes in nature.
