Nylidrin is a drug that belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents. It is used as an antimicrobial agent in the treatment of infectious diseases and autoimmune diseases. Nylidrin has been shown to have cardiac effects, such as systolic pressure, in experimental models. This drug also increases the risk of myocardial infarction, arrhythmia, and sudden death in patients with cardiovascular disease. The use of nylidrin is contraindicated for geriatric patients with a history of heart failure or coronary artery disease.
