4-(6-Chloropyridin-2-yl)morpholine is a dioxane that is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of aryl halides. It is also used as a catalyst for the transformation of halides to amines, aminations, and substitution reactions. 4-(6-Chloropyridin-2-yl)morpholine has been shown to be regioselective in the substitution of benzene with chlorine, leading to high yields. This compound also has been shown to be effective as a catalyst for the transformation of chlorobenzene into substituted phenols.
