ONO-AE3-208 is a small molecule that inhibits the activity of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR). ONO-AE3-208 has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in mouse xenograft models. It also has anti-inflammatory properties and may be useful for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. This drug binds to EGFR, preventing it from binding to its ligands, such as EGF, which are necessary for cell proliferation. In addition, ONO-AE3-208 may have anti-tumor effects through its ability to induce apoptosis in cancer cells.
