Product Information
Octahydro-1H-isoindole is a molecule that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. Octahydro-1H-isoindole binds to the neurokinin-1 receptor, which is found on the surface of intestinal cells. It has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis and calcium ion release. This drug also exhibits an anion radical scavenging effect and potentiates the activity of coumarin derivatives, which are drugs used in the treatment of various types of cancer. Octahydro-1H-isoindole is synthesized through a cyclohexane ring closure reaction with hydroxide solution as a solvent, followed by anhydrous sodium as a base. The product was purified using ethyl acetate and recrystallized from methanol for use in pharmaceutical preparations.
