Octahydroquinolin-4(1H)-one hydrochloride is a natural product of the acridone class and can be found in plants. The compound has been shown to have pharmacological activity, although it is not yet known which type. It has two stable isomers, octahydroquinolin-4(1H)-one and decahydroquinoline. Octahydroquinolin-4(1H)-one hydrochloride can exist in either an isomeric or configurational form, depending on the rotation around the central carbon atom. Octahydroquinolin-4(1H)-one hydrochloride exists in three stereochemical forms: (1) erythro, (2) threo and (3) meso.
