2-Oxa-7-azaspiro[3.5]nonane is a diazole derivative with formic, azetidine and oxetane groups. It has been shown to have medicinal properties, including both antioxidant and anticancer effects. 2-Oxa-7-azaspiro[3.5]nonane has also been shown to be a heterocycle that is not reactive with oxygen at room temperature, but can be oxidized by formic acid or oxone in the presence of light or heat. The crystal structure of 2-Oxa-7-azaspiro[3.5]nonane was determined in an X-ray crystal structure analysis. This compound is a tetracyclic compound with two oxetanes that are linked by an oxetane bridge and one oxetane ring fused to the 4 position of the pyranone moiety.
