Description

3-Oxoindane-1-carboxylicacid is a benzene derivative that can be prepared by the bromination of 3-oxindole with bromine in solvents. It has been shown that 3-oxoindane-1-carboxylicacid is an analog of indanone, and the most prominent member of this class of compounds. The synthesis of 3-oxoindane-1-carboxylicacid involves dehydrobromination reactions followed by acylation and acid derivatives. The orthogonal experiments were optimized to produce this compound.
