Product Information
- 4-Oxocyclohexanecarboxyaldehyde
- 4-Formylcyclohexanone
- 4-Oxocyclohexanecarbaldehyde
4-Oxo-cyclohexanecarboxyaldehyde is an aldehyde that is synthesized through reductive amination of 4-hydroxycyclohexanecarboxylic acid. It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of tumor cells, including those resistant to classical chemotherapies such as cisplatin and taxol. 4-Oxo-cyclohexanecarboxyaldehyde is also effective against toxoplasmosis, a parasitic disease caused by Toxoplasma gondii. This molecule can be used for the synthesis of chiral, asymmetric compounds and may have applications in medicinal chemistry and as a precursor for drugs.
