3-Oxopropyl N,N-bis(2-chloroethyl)phosphorodiamidate is a cytotoxic agent that inhibits the synthesis of DNA and RNA. It is effective in the treatment of infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, leprosy, and malaria. 3-Oxopropyl N,N-bis(2-chloroethyl)phosphorodiamidate inhibits several enzymes involved in DNA synthesis, including polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and nucleotide excision repair (NER). This drug also has been shown to be active against carcinoma cell lines and autoimmune diseases. Nitrogen atoms are activated by 3-oxopropyl N,N-bis(2-chloroethyl)phosphorodiamidate.
