1,4-Oxazepane is an amide that has a variety of pharmaceutical uses. It is used in combination preparations with other substances to treat epidermal growth factor deficiency and other skin disorders. 1,4-Oxazepane has been shown to show antifungal activity against Trichophyton mentagrophytes in vitro. This drug binds to the extracellular domain of the EGF receptor and inhibits the interaction of this protein with its ligands, thereby preventing the activation of tyrosine kinase and subsequent cell division. The binding site for 1,4-oxazepane is a hydroxyl group on a pyrimidine compound. This drug also has anti-inflammatory effects and can be used to treat diseases such as autoimmune diseases or nervous system diseases, which may be due to its ability to inhibit dopamine production.
