Description:
N-Octylsuccinic anhydride is a cross-linking agent that can be mixed with detergent compositions. It reacts with the hydroxyl group of fatty acids in a wheat germ to form a metal surface-attacking particle. The reaction products are acidic, so the pH should be kept at 6 or below. N-Octylsuccinic anhydride also reacts with dibutyltin oxide and triazine to form titration calorimetry reaction products.
