Product Information

Name:
2-Oxa-6-azaspiro[3.3]heptane oxalate
Synonyms:
  • 2-Oxa-6-azaspiro[3.3]heptane ethanedioate (1:1)
  • 2-Oxa-6-Azaspiro[3.3]Heptane Oxalate (1:1)
Description:

2-Oxa-6-azaspiro[3.3]heptane oxalate is a synthetic compound that inhibits kinases. Kinases are enzymes that transfer phosphate groups from ATP to proteins, which control the function of those proteins. 2-Oxa-6-azaspiro[3.3]heptane oxalate is a potent inhibitor of the enzyme class, and has been shown to inhibit paclitaxel (PTX) induced signal transduction in vitro by binding to PTX's active site on PTX sensitive protein kinase A (PKA). This compound also has been shown to inhibit the growth of human tumor cells in culture, with IC50 values ranging from 0.01-0.1 μM. The most potent activity was observed against the pyrimidine kinase PIM1, inhibiting it with an IC50 value of 0.03 μM.
