Product Information
2-[(4-Oxo-3-Phenyl-4H-Chromen-7-Yl)Oxy]Propanoic Acid (2OPPA) is a drug that has been shown to inhibit the activity of cytochrome p450 enzymes, which are responsible for the metabolism of drugs. 2OPPA inhibits the metabolism of drugs that are substrates for cytochrome p450 isoforms CYP1A2, CYP2C8, CYP2C9, and CYP3A4. This inhibition leads to an increase in the blood concentration of these drugs and may result in toxicity. 2OPPA has also been shown to be a competitive inhibitor with respect to 3-methylcholanthrene and theophylline. 2OPPA does not react with human liver microsomes but is metabolized by glucuronidation, deethylation and β-glucuronidase conjugation. It is not hydrolyzed
