Description

Oxazole-4-carboxylic acid hydrazide is an organic compound that belongs to the group of hydrazides. It is a white powder and is soluble in water. Oxazole-4-carboxylic acid hydrazide is used as a precursor for the synthesis of other compounds, such as oxazoles and multicenter functional derivatives. The conversion of oxazole-4-carboxylic acid hydrazide to a desired product can be achieved by reacting it with an appropriate hydrazine or hydroxylamine. Preparative purification can be achieved by crystallization from an appropriate solvent, such as ethanol or acetone.
