Product Information
- 1-n-Octadecylpyrrole
- 1-octadecyl-1H-pyrrole
1-Octadecylpyrrole is a hydrophobic, organic solvent that has a skeleton of a monomer. Its interdigitated interaction with another molecule leads to the formation of 1-octadecyl pyrrole which can be used as an actuator in biological studies. The actuation is caused by the release of energy in the form of heat or light. When heated, 1-octadecyl pyrrole transforms into an amide and produces new compounds such as fatty acids. This transformation can be observed using microscopy.
