Description:

Pararosaniline hydrochloride is a drug that intercalates into the DNA molecule and is used as a standard for optical sensors. Pararosaniline hydrochloride binds to the DNA molecule, inhibiting its transcription and replication. It also has an anti-inflammatory effect and can be used as a model system for studying radiation damage to cells. Pararosaniline hydrochloride has been shown to have cytotoxic effects on squamous cell carcinoma in mice and is used in analytical methods such as electrochemical impedance spectroscopy to measure the rate constant of chemical reactions.
