Description:

3-(Perfluorohexyl)propylene oxide (PFHPO) is a tribasic fluorinated surfactant. It has been used as a solvent for the production of polymers, such as polytetrafluoroethylene, and as a component in cleaning products. PFHPO is chemically stable and has surface properties that are similar to those of gemini surfactants with low surface tension. PFHPO also shows good thermally stability, which makes it appropriate for use in high-temperature applications. PFHPO is not toxic to humans or animals and does not form persistent degradation products.
