4-(Piperidin-1-ylcarbonyl)aniline (PP1CA) is a potent and selective tyrosine kinase inhibitor that was developed to inhibit the growth of certain cancer cells. PP1CA is an irreversible inhibitor of the enzyme, which covalently binds to tyrosine residues within the ATP binding site. This binding prevents ATP from binding, resulting in the inhibition of cell proliferation. PP1CA has been shown to be effective at inhibiting tumor growth in animal models. The safety profiles for PP1CA have been well studied and it has shown no toxicity in human clinical trials.
