N-Phenylhydrazinecarboxamide is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C6H5N2. It is an alkoxy radical and has a hydroxy group. It is classified as an organic hydrazine, with two nitrogen atoms in the amide linkage. The thermodynamic properties of this compound have been studied using hydrochloric acid and multi-walled carbon; kinetic data has also been collected for this compound. N-Phenylhydrazinecarboxamide has shown inhibitory properties on hydrogen peroxide production by human neutrophils and silver ions which may be due to its ability to form hydrogen bonds with apical groups. This chemical compound can also vibrate at a frequency of about 2200 cm−1 due to its unpaired electron.
