Product Information

Name:
[2-(1H-Pyrazol-1-yl)ethyl]amine dihydrochloride
Synonyms:
  • 1H-Pyrazole-1-ethanamine
  • 2-(1H-Pyrazol-1-yl)ethanamine
  • 2-(1-Pyrazolyl)ethylamine
Description:

[2-(1H-Pyrazol-1-yl)ethyl]amine dihydrochloride is a potent inhibitor of the insulin receptor. The molecule binds to the IGF-1 receptor and blocks the binding of insulin to this receptor, preventing the activation of downstream signaling pathways. This inhibition leads to decreased tumor cell proliferation in vivo. [2-(1H-Pyrazol-1-yl)ethyl]amine dihydrochloride has been shown to bind to human IGF-1R with high affinity and specificity, and also inhibits IGF-1R autophosphorylation in vitro.
