Product Information

Name:
Pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine-3-carbonitrile
Description:

Pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine-3-carbonitrile is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial that has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria, fungi, and viruses. It also has anti-cancer properties, which may be related to its ability to bind to DNA and inhibit cellular proliferation. Pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine-3-carbonitrile binds to the hydroxyl group of fatty acids in cellular membranes and disrupts their function. This compound is toxic at high doses and can cause damage to the heart or lungs. Pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine-3-carbonitrile has been shown to be effective against human cancer cells in tissue culture. It also has been shown to have a specific treatment effect on cervical cancer cells by inhibiting protein synthesis and inducing apoptosis via reactive oxygen species (ROS) production.
