Description:
2-Pyrrolidin-1-ylpropanoic acid is a sulfonium salt that has minimal anabolic activity and is a cation. This compound has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of radiation induced cytotoxicity in vitro. 2-Pyrrolidin-1-ylpropanoic acid binds to the anion, which prevents the production of reactive oxygen species, protecting cells from radiation damage. The salt compound also shows androgenic activity in vitro.
