Description:
Pyrrolidine-1-carbothioamide is a borohydride that has been found to be a potent analgesic. It is a prodrug of pyrrolidine, which is hydrolyzed by esterases in the body to form the active drug. Pyrrolidine-1-carbothioamide reacts with amines in the body and generates an anti-inflammatory effect. It has been shown to suppress the activity of suppressants, such as prostaglandins, and may have a role as an adjuvant therapy for asthma and other respiratory disorders.
